What is APX MVMT?

APX MVMT is a hybrid training platform that blends strength training with swim conditioning. It’s built for hybrid athletes who want performance, durability, and a training model that supports water sports, everyday movement, and long-term fitness.

Who are our programs for?

It’s for anyone who wants more than just “lift + run.” Whether you’re a Masters swimmer, triathlon prep, HYROX competitor, avid snorkeler, or scuba diver, this is hybrid training reimagined with you in mind. You don’t need to be elite — just ready to Move. Improve. Repeat.

What if i’m already a member of a masters swim club?

No problem! Use our program to build strength and power in water! Just make sure to tell your friends.

Do I have to be a swimmer to join?

Nope. Each conditioning day offers two conditioning options: swim or run. If swimming is your strength, lean into it. If running is easier for you now, that’s OK too. Over time, we’ll help you build comfort in both.

Do I need to be “fit” to start?

Nope. APX MVMT programs are written with simple 3-week strength progressions, swim or run conditioning, and mobility work that meet you where you’re at. We help you build from your current level by programming for everyone and not the fittest human alive.

What makes APX MVMT different from other Hybrid Training programs?

Typical hybrid models pair lifting + running. APX MVMT makes swimming part of the core model. You get strength and conditioning that’s water-aware, joint friendly, and designed to carry over into aquatic pursuits (snorkeling, scuba, spearfishing). It’s hybrid training reimagined.

Will adding strength slow me down or make me bulky?

No. The strength work is built with hybrid balance in mind — you’ll increase power, resilience, and injury resistance without compromising your swim or run performance. In fact, many athletes see their swim and run improve when strength is integrated.

What if I have goals, like racing or competing?

That’s exactly where APX MVMT fits. The program builds the hybrid athlete foundation — strength, stamina, and resilience — that carries into Masters swimming, triathlon prep, HYROX events, or outdoor water sports. It’s designed to support your goals, not replace them.

What equipment do I need?

Gym / strength side: access to barbells, dumbbells, pull-up bar, kettlebells.


Swimming side: access to a lap pool, goggles, swim gear. Fins, kickboard, paddles are helpful.

How long are the workouts?

Most sessions are 60–90 minutes. Typically Strength Day’s (M/W/F) are 60 min and Swim/Run days are 60 Min on (Tu/Th) and 90 min on Saturday’s. We focus on efficiency so you can train consistently without overhauling your life.

Can I follow the program if I’m doing another sport or activity?

Yes. Our programming is built to be complementary. If you already run, bike, swim, play hockey or golf elsewhere, use the APX MVMT LAB to support building strength and mobility.
